Imagine Your Story Community Scavenger Hun

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, For all ages! Adults too!

 Color in one (or more) of the scavenger hunt images and place them in a front window. To go on the scavenger hunt simply take a family walk in your neighborhood and look for the images in windows around town. Images can be downloaded on the Kids' Department webpage at westboroughlib.org or can be picked up from the library. Please check the library website for the current hours. If you would like a photo of your family participating shared online, email it to westborokids@cwmars.org.

Stuck In Your Castle BINGO

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, For all ages!

Complete 5 in a row (or cover the entire board for an extra challenge) to complete the BINGO game. Participants in the online reading logging challenge will receive an extra grand prize raffle ticket when they complete BINGO and earn this badge online. Bingo boards can be downloaded on the Kids' Department webpage at westboroughlib.org or can be picked up from the library. Please check the library website for current hours. If you would like a photo of your child participating shared online, email it to westborokids@cwmars.org.

Firefly Count

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, All ages., Offline, self-paced activity.

Spend an evening outside trying to spot fireflies! The best time of year to spot fireflies in Massachusetts is from mid-June to late July on warm & humid evenings. Completing the Firefly Count will earn you a badge on our online Summer Reading program. Feel free to let us know how many you spotted or send a picture to westborokids@cwmars.org

Family Campout Night

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, All ages., Offline, self-paced activity.

Who says you can't go camping at your own house?! Set up a tent outside in your yard or create your own special fort in your living room. Enjoy reading as a family while you camp! Please feel free to "camp out" for just the evening or the whole night. Send us a photo to westborokids@cwmars.org to have it featured online throughout the summer and become part of our great Westborough Family Camp Out slideshow at the end of the summer!

Backyard Bird Watch

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, All ages, Offline, self-paced activity.

Let's see what bird friends we can spot in Westborough! Take an hour of your choice to sit outside and spend some quiet time looking for birds. How many different types can you see? Feel free to do this at home or during a family nature walk -- and for as long as you like! Birdwatchers who are doing our online Summer Reading program will unlock an online activity badge for this activity. Want a photo of your young naturalist featured online? Email it to westborokids@cwmars.org.

Night Sky Watch

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, All ages., Offline, self-paced activity.

Let's explore space! Take time one evening to go outside and take a look at the stars. What constellations can you spot? Information about the night sky can be found online on our Kids' Department website page. Young stargazers who are participating in our online Summer Reading program will unlock a badge for this activity. Want a photo of your young astronomer featured online? Email it to westborokids@cwmars.org.

Little Acts of Kindness Challenge

Anytime, June 15 - August 26, All ages., Offline, self-paced activity.

Let's add a little extra kindness into the world! We challenge you to do or say 3 nice things this summer. Kids using our online Summer Reading program will also earn an online badge for this activity.
