Adulting 101: A Life Skills Series

Transitioning into adulthood can be overwhelming — but you don’t have to do it alone! Join us for Adulting 101, a practical, judgment-free series designed to equip teens and young adults with the essential life skills they didn’t teach in school. Older adults, you're welcome too--you may find some refreshers, updated information, or knowledge that you missed! Whether you're heading off to college, starting a job, or just trying to figure things out, this program is for you. Come for the advice — stay for the great conversation. Please register for each session individually; attendees must be in 9th grade or older.

This month, join Penny Giacobbi, Regional Public Health Nurse, and Makayla Petty, Shared Service Coordinator/Regional Epidemiologist, for an overview of Basic First Aid! Attendees will receive short overview of basic first aid with a focus on hands only CPR/AED use that will be interactive, and a copy of the presentation will be provided to each participant.

Presenter Bios:

Makayla Petty, MPH, is the Shared Service Coordinator/Regional Epidemiologist at the Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health. As a Shared Service Coordinator she manages grant reporting and coordinates with shared staff. As a Regional Epidemiologist she assesses health trends and risks over time.

Penny Giacobbi, RN, is the Regional Public Health Nurse at the Greater Boroughs Partnership for Health. As regional public nurse, she conducts health screenings, education workshops, disease investigation, and so many other nursing functions in the Greater Boroughs region.
